I have been facilitating more practical life activities for Frida recently – she seems to have taken more of an interest in them, so I’m following her lead and trying to provide her with the opportunities to develop and hone her skills.
Earlier today I noticed that Frida’s art shelves were getting a little dusty, so I asked her if she wanted to dust them. I cleared her materials whilst she fetched her duster (she has this cleaning set which she really enjoys using).
She set to work immediately, and I can report that her shelves are now much cleaner!
Ok, they are maybe not as spotless as if I had cleaned them, but I think’s much more important for Frida to feel the sense of accomplishment which comes from cleaning her own work shelves.
