I am very excited to tell you that I will be running my first Frida Be Mighty workshop in the spring!

When I think back to some of the times I have felt the most uplifted, it has often been when I’ve been in a group of women, drinking tea and doing some soul searching. There is something profoundly nourishing about stepping out of our everyday lives and coming together with other women to share, grow, and be inspired.

I strongly feel that taking time to reflect on our parenting, and recharging so that we may pour from a cup that is well filled, should not be viewed as a luxury, or selfish. The more we build ourselves up, the more we build up our families, our communities, our societies. I truly believe that as mothers, we can change the world with our parenting.

As someone whose parenting ethos is often not reflected in the mainstream, I know how valuable it is to be with parents who share the same ideals. In a culture where there is pressure on us to raise children who do things faster! earlier! busier! it can feel lonely to choose a slower, more natural, more intentional childhood for our children. I am lucky to have a great support network of mothers who share similar hopes for our children online – but there is something so powerful about coming together in person to really talk. For this reason, I have been wanting to plan some workshops; a place for mothers to meet, share ideas, and discuss fears or problems, whilst we hold each other’s space.

The theme for the first workshop is simplicity, one of the concepts I have found the most powerful in my parenting. We will be discussing ideas for simplifying and slowing down, exploring ways to bring more calm and beauty to our homes, and looking at how to create powerful rhythms for our families.

I hope to see some of you there!
